Helping the pups of Pristina, Kosovo

Every year, I draw a calendar to raise money for the stray dogs in Kosovo (where we’ve lived the past 2.5 years). I digitally hand-draw each image and all proceeds go toward feeding, fostering, and flying dogs-in-need to forever homes in the US and Europe. The calendars are A4 size and printed locally.

This year’s theme is “Around the World.” Illustrations & FAQs below! Thanks for your support!

FAQs

  • Each calendar is $34.50 ($26.50 plus $8.00 shipping).

If you are local and do not require shipping, the total is €25.

  • Absolutely! Quite simply, the more resources we have, the more dogs we can support. Every little bit helps in taking care of dogs in need. It takes a village!

(See payment options in the next “How do I order?” FAQ.)

  • To order, please email lina.patton@gmail.com with the subject line CALENDAR ORDER and include the following information:

    1. The number of calendars you’d like to purchase.

    2. Your method of payment. Options include: PayPal (lina.patton@gmail.com); Venmo (@Lina-Patton); or cash if you’re local.

    3. Your shipping address (or where you’d like the calendar dropped off).

Once I’ve received your email as well as your payment, I will confirm receipt.

***Calendars will ship from the US by Dec. 20th. Thanks for your patience!***

  • Calendars are European A4 size (8.26 in x 11.69 in) with top spiral binding printed on 250 gsm paper.

  • There are many sweet yet struggling dogs on the streets of Pristina. It can be heartbreaking to see so many in need of homes and desperate for affection, and we’ve worked hard over the past few years to help all we can. This includes:

    • spaying and neutering dogs

    • supporting abandoned puppies

    • taking wounded or sick dogs to the vet

    • buying food, blankets, medicine, and other pet supplies

    • paying for dogs to be placed in foster care (the local fosters can be a bit bleak but better than the streets)

    • supporting existing pet organizations such as Kosovo Pet Rescue

    • and finally: flying dogs to forever homes in the US and Europe

The final and most expensive option is our ultimate goal! Below, see a few of the dogs we’ve flown/are flying back to the US to happy homes. The first dog, Qika, is now living her best life in Colorado; Bora is headed to DC; and Buddy is going to a family with two dogs and two acres in Massachusetts—a big upgrade from the Embassy parking lot! We’d love to fly a few more to Germany next year.

The last photos are two dogs we’re still working to find homes! The first is a young pit bull who was found covered in cuts, and the second is an adorable Malinois mix who was severely malnourished. Both are healing well in their new foster cares and remain incredibly good natured and friendly to other dogs and humans. If anyone is interested in adoption, please reach out!
