Partner Projects

I love collaborating with other creatives to amplify stories, voices, and learning. After spending seven years abroad, I’m excited to be back in the District and reconnect with the talented and diverse community here in Washington, D.C. Below, you can explore some of the special ventures I’m involved in.

Generation Women

My longtime friend (and fellow writer) Brittany Kerfoot and I are bringing a new storytelling series to DC, Generation Women!

Generation Women is a multigenerational storytelling series that invites a performer in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s+ to share an original true story on a theme. Each live show blends a literary salon with the tradition of handing down wisdom from community elders. Alongside cis women, we cast all gender expressions including non-binary folk and trans women.

Interested in becoming a storyteller or attending the show? We’d love to meet you! Learn more here.

Politics & Prose Programs

I’m thrilled to be teaching a new class for Politics and Prose, the incredible literary force and bookstore here in DC. If you love Prep and Curtis Sittenfeld as much as I do, be sure to check out my online class, SHOW DON’T TELL: The Art of Storytelling in Curtis Sittenfeld’s Short Fiction.”
